Best asian food in the area. Fresh and delicious. Had the summer rolls with peanut sauce, papaya salad and red curry chicken. Everything was scrumptious and fresh.

This place is SOOOO good! Every dish I've had the pleasure of enjoying, has been spot on perfect. I've not once had a dish I didn't fully enjoy. My one and ONLY complaint is the portions are a bit small for the price. Other than that this place is one of my favorite places to eat! I would literally eat there everyday if I could, it's that good. It's vegan friendly and offers a wide variety of choices.

My wife and I have eaten at this place several times, the place was super clean (dining room, kitchen and bathrooms). The food was always pretty good, the staff was always very pleasent. Unfortunatly I don't think we will be going back. We ate there yesterday, the carpets were filthy, We ate with friends so pulled two tables together, both tablecloths were dirty and we got there shortly after opening so someone hadn't just eaten there leaving food on the table. Like I said earlier the people working there are all very nice, the lady that I assume is the owner is very pleasent and there is a very nice young couple that both are servers, they have a very cute infant, they and the baby are very clean but they carry the baby around the resturant as they wait on customers, which just doesn't set well with me. We have found this type of thing so prevelant in Bullhead City, places start out with a clean resturant with good food and good service but over a few months, they just get careless, loose interest or get lazy, I just don't understand. Even some of the national chains are subject, I guess managers enter thru back doors and their front doors get filthy dirty, I just don't get it!!!!

This is a very good restaurant with nice people it is a family oriented Thai restaurant with grandma mama serving food

Glad to see a great Thai place in Bullhead. Definitely a great place for vegans/vegetarians--they use absolutely no fish sauce in any of their dishes. Most Thai places don't mention that they use it, even if you order a vegetarian dish. We will definitely return when we're in the area.

This place is amazing. The decor is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed lunch near an awesome inspirational room divider :) staff was super friendly to allow us to have a mini photo shoot. We enjoyed the spicy fried rice, basil chicken and veggies, and the pumpkin curry. Hands down try the pumpkin curry. We got it hot- the heat and the creamy pumpkin chunks were off the hook amazing. We are definitely going to remember this place when we are near!

Very good food! Family oriented restaurant! We ordered all vegan noodle dishes and one Tom yum soup all were tasty! Based on food and service we are coming back for more vegan dishes tomorrow!

Although the service could you a bit friendlier touch, the food was pretty good for what I was expecting in this town. The curry was great, some of the better I have had, although there was way too much green beans in the dish. Service wasn't horrible, but could be improved.

Sitting here and it's awesome. Great food and very friendly management. The 5 is very hot from a person who can't handle spicy food. Sweating profusely

Still great food!! I reviewed this place more than a year back. I have been here many times since then. I am writing this update to state that they have kept up their great quality of food and service. The only difference is that now they are closed on Mondays. They are open the rest of the week including Sundays. A word of CAUTION: their spice rating goes from 0 to 5. 4 is really spicy hot and 5 is truly mind blowing. I love spicy and can handle some extremely spicy Indian and Thai food however 4 is too spicy even for me!

  • Sherry C.

I ordered the papaya salad (spicy level 4), pad see ew with beef and iced Thai tea to go. The Thai tea was good and pad see ew mediocre. The papaya salad was super spicy and delicious. HOWEVER, midway through my meal, I found a piece of hair in the salad and completely lost my appetite. I saw that the cooks did not wear hair nets or even a hat. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Try a different Thai restaurant in this area.

By Bullhead measures, this is four stars. By California or any bigger city standards, a three at best. First the people are ridiculously nice. I ordered take out and I've never seen food ready so fast. I got boring Pad thai and crab rangoons so it wasn't as if I got exotic but still. Super fast and that deserves mention. The pad thai seemed a little too sticky. Like some of the noodles had all become one. However it was pretty tasty. I like my food spicy but based on another reviewer warning I went with 3 for spice. It was definitely warm. I would recommend that level for those who like spice. If you want your face to burst into flames feel free to go higher. The rangoons were my big disappointment. The reviews said "light and fluffy". Um. No. They were not light nor fluffy. I will post a picture so you can see them. If I had seen a pic I wouldn't have ordered. Not that they're bad but I like the kind that is truly light and fluffy. All together $19 and some jingle. Not cheap but not expensive either. I would try it again but it won't be something I dream about or long for...

Went there one afternoon a couple of months ago, ordered Won Ton Soup, which looked good, but was VERY salty, after leaving, my husband and I both developed splitting headaches and extreme thirst which were indications of a LOT of MSG in the broth! If you want to stay and keep healthy take a "rain check" from this restaurant until they learn that Asian food doesn't HAVE to contain MSG if the food is prepared properly!

4 of us had lunch here. The service is slow and the lady was the only person writing order and serving drinks and bringing food and cleaning the table. Took about 15 minutes to get our order written down and another 30 minutes for the food. Way under staffed. We order Tom Yum with seafood, Pad Thai, yellow curry, and pineapple fried rice. The food was ok. Tom Yum was good. Yellow curry is too sweet. Pineapple fried rice had raisins in it so I don't like it. pad Thai was average. When the check comes I noticed the pricing is different. I kindly told her about it, and she was upset. She insisted the pricing on the check was correct and said its what the menu displays, so I asked for the menu and showed her. Now she is even more upset, and try to change the story that we actually ordered something else, and that she would honor the price but she will "pay the difference from the tip jar" and that I'm wasting her time while she has to work the tables. what an insult. She got busted for overcharging and gave me attitude. For the record, Even though I was pissed off, I still tipped 10%, and that's for the food. Also my rating of 2 stars is based on the 3.5 star food and 0.5 star service.

OMG.. Fresh Flavorful Amazing.. We had the Summer Roll, Thia Dumplings , Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodles .. Enjoyed our meal very much and will return soon to try more items on the menu! Tell, better yet grab a friend and go eat there,

  • Ann L.

The help was nice enough. I ordered spring rolls and green beef curry. I felt the springs rolls were dry and too chewy. The green curry had zucchini instead of eggplant and was very salty. I will not return.

I know nothing about the authenticity of Thai food, but I LOVE this place!!! The staff is always very friendly and quick and I am such a sucker for anything spicy that they have. The PHO soup is just excellent when it comes to flavor, but I do not understand why they dont put the noodles in the soup??? And I am absolutely addicted to their spicy fried rice. I could eat it every day. The other stuff like Pad Thai is good too just like other Thai food I have had, but something about the spicy rice that I cannot get enough of hahaha. Also, I eat a lot of hot food and I asked for a 4 one time and it was about the max spiciness that I am willing to handle. I believe the scale changed slightly with new owners??? So just be careful. 2 spiciness is probably more than enough for anyone who does not regularly eat really hot food. Excellent place and I love supporting the local businesses, but it seems expensive for not being a beautifully decorated restaurant. This is by far one of the best restaurants in Bullhead City, especially if you are looking for a nice ambiance and quiet atmosphere to have a conversation or discuss business.

  • Sue T.

I ordered delivery and the lady on the phone (who was very sweet and patient) forgot to call me back with a price. The guy shows up and I was short on cash and he said "don't worry about the difference, we'd rather have your future business than worry about a couple dollars." Crab ran goons were small but good. The other food is very good. Will gladly go back!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in bullhead! The service is always good and the food never disappoints. You can pretty much order anything off the menu and be happy. I love the ginger chicken and the nutty cashew. Make sure you try the Tia tea and the food is extremely hot/spicy so if you can't handle the heat get a 1.

  • Derrick O.

Pumpkin curry was AMAZING!!! Spice levels were perfect! The homemade Coconut Ice Cream is to die over!

I HATE THAI FOOD! That was my firm ovation before I discovered Chao Praya Thai Cuisine. These guys single-handedly changed my mind about Thai food. This stuff is so good it's become my favorite Asian food restaurant. Try the sweet & sour chicken or pork and the fried rice...YUM! And don't forget the mini-spring rolls, they're "to die for"...

    (4)
  • Debbie Mary A.

The place was nice and clean. The lady was very nice and friendly. My boyfriend and I ordered sweet and sour chicken and chicken red curry. The red curry was spicy and delicious, however it barely had any chicken in it. Even the sweet and sour chicken barely had any chicken. They were lacking in meat that we left feeling dissatisfied with our meal. We will not be returning.

Visiting from Las Vegas and decided to try something new rather than go to the same places knowing we would be disappointed. So glad we decided to try Chao Praya. For appetizers, we ordered the Thai dumplings and summer rolls and both were excellent. For dinner, we had yellow curry which was very flavorful, spicy basil leaf, mixed vegetables and the garlic dish. Our food arrived quickly and everything was hot and delicious. My parents really enjoyed it and are grateful they have another restaurant to add to the short list of places in the area that measure up. Our server, Vicky, was good but she was the only one for the restaurant when we were there. She was hustling and it did take a while for her to take our order and she apologized for the wait. I'm glad we waited and we'll be back!

I ordered Pad Thai with fried tofu and Crab Rangoons. The total bill was just more than $17. The Crab Rangoon filling is good- creamy and balanced flavors, not one ingredient overpowering the others. The dough to filling ratio may be a little off with quite a bit of fried dough, especially in the way they are pinched closed. The Pad Thai is good. Not too spicy. The food came out quickly and the server was friendly and polite. The restaurant itself is a little run down and dingy, but my order was to go, so not a problem for me.

I wouldn't normally write a review on vacation, but this place is more than deserving of a five star review. My husband was very intimidated by eating Thai in the desert, but he allowed me to persuade him after I saw other raving reviews of this place. Don't be concerned by the fact that it's in a strange little strip mall and may not have the most glamorous interior, because their food is simply incredible. We started with the crab Rangoon and Tom kah chicken soups. The rangoons were light and fluffy, and the sauce was nice and light as well. The soups were piping hot and just as amazing as the ones we get back home in Tampa FL. For dinner we got the Panang chicken and mussaman beef. We devoured everything! I would rate this one of the best Thai restaurants I've eaten at. If you are passing by and love Thai, you need to be eating here!

Came here to eat for the Independence Day weekend, it was a great choice. I came here with a group of 5, we were greeted immediately by a sweet little lady who told us we could sit where ever we would like. We sat down and ordered, the waitress was very nice and patient with us as well. The food took a little longer than usual but the quality was really great. Will be back again next year when we come back to Laughlin, it's worth driving to a whole other state for ;)

Horrible, i wish i can give them minus points. I give them 1 star even though i didnt visit them. I called them for their business hours and the lady who answered my phone had a very rude additude. I asked her 2 questions, 'are you guys opened today?' and 'what are your business hours?' and this lady who answered my phone call was sounded so annoyed and she was speaking like as if she was yelling at me. And even before i asked her the price range, she just said "our store open every single day and we open now!!!" and she hung up the phone. I know for sure that i dont want to go to this restaurant. They have bad customer service even through the most basic areas, i dont expect much more from them. It would be waste of money even if the food was good there. Horrible customer line service. Never go to this restaurant, you will just waste your money.

First, let me preface this by saying we normally eat a plant-based diet or at least somewhat close to that. Every once in a while we will have "cheat" day and 9.9 out of 10 of the times it really wasn't worth it. Today was definitely an exception. The restaurant is a cozy little location next to a Safeway grocery store. From the outside you really don't know what to expect, however upon entering it's actually fairly spacious with plenty of tables well spaced apart. We were greeted almost immediately by a wonderful smile and were offered the option to choose our own table. Our server, a very nice lady, took our drink order immediately upon seating us and returned a very short time later with with what has to be the best ginger tea on earth. She made a few recommendations and we ordered the Crab Rangoon to start with. For entrees we chose the Sweet and Sour Shrimp and the Pad See Ew with vegetables and tofu . The appetizer was well presented and delicious (see photos) and we both thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. We noticed some comments on here about the amount of meat on the plate; however we were both pleased with our portions and the mixture of vegetables, noodles, and meat. This isn't Claim Jumper so I wouldn't plan on getting food for two weeks but we felt it was very reasonable for the price. In fact we commented that we could easily share a dish the next time. We enjoyed the flavoring (even though it was almost too spicy for my wife) and the service was second to none. In fact our server never allowed our drinks to run low, made wonderful recommendations, and checked on us the perfect amount of times. Overall we were very pleased with our experience and will most definitely eat there again or even have it delivered.

Just moved to this area it's so nice to go to an authentic thai food place. We ordered the pot sticker appetizer which was delicious. I had the pad see ew with beef and my boyfriend had the noodle soup with pork. Both were delicious. I would come back here again. * I have been back many of times you can't go wrong with any dish.

True hole in the wall next to the Safeway. From the outside and the inside it looks like the place is closed but it's not. You pretty much seat yourself and let them know you are there when someone finally walks out of the kitchen. $114. For 7 people 7 drinks 5 appetizers 4 entrees and 4 desserts. The portions were just right for us nothing went to waste. Their beef broccoli, summer shrimp rolls, FBI ( fried banana ice cream ) and their homemade coconut ice cream is really good. I ordered the drunken noodles at a 4 for heat level and it was way too spicy for me. I don't really know how it tasted outside of the heat. So if you want to taste the food order it at a 2. The bathroom is clean and the service is what you would expect from a mom and pop shop.

  • Valerie M.

Eh. The service was good but the food was super disappointing. No flavor. I got the Mongolian beef and it was like they took a bunch of vegetables and threw them in with the five pieces of meat and prayed for some flavor to rub off. It didn't. The wonton soup was pretty good but small for $5. My hubby got sweet and sour chicken. They tossed boiled chicken in with some pineapple and hoped for the best. Onions, baby corn and various other vegetables covered the plate and provided no flavor or point. We basically spent $37 on flavorless vegetables that would've been better and cheaper at panda. One lady even told them nicely and professionally that most of her plate was vegetables and the waitress replied "that's how Thai food is" and the customer was like "I've been eating authentic Thai food since before you were born and that's not how it is." She wasn't rude and was honestly answering their question on how the food was. I guess places are used to us lying and saying it was fine. Like me. I am too afraid to tell them the suck factors and wait til I get on here to be truthful. We won't be back. If minatos wasn't in laughlin we wouldve spent the extra cash and gone there.

This place was great. Visiting Laughlin for the first time and wanted to find a spot of the beaten path. Place has spicy level from 1 to 5. Got level 3 for everything. Just the right amount. Saw a review about soup being to spicy, but you get to choose the spicy. Had the Po tak soup and beef pa nang. Soup was filled with alot of lemon flavor which made the spicy taste perfect with all the seafood that was inside. Beef panang was sweet, creamy and spicy. Service was great. Carpeted floors and TV on the wall playing billboard awards, made it feel like you were at someone's home. Will come back next time I'm here.

Came here with the wife and in laws because our favorite Thai restaurant in Bullhead City was closed. The decor nside the restaurant was average, Actually everything was just average, even the food. We always start with Tom Kha Gai soup. Coconut milk soup with chicken. We also ordered the Pad Thai, Pad Woon Sen, seafood stew, papaya salad, and pumpkin curry. The pad Thai was just okay, same with the papaya salad. The broth in the seafood stew had good flavor and the seafood was fresh. The pad woon sen, which is a glass noodle stir fry, had a lot of flavor. I would order it again. The wife had the pumpkin curry, which is just red curry with pieces of pumpkin. The red curry was just okay, but the pieces of pumpkin were a great addition. All in all, just average Thai food.

  • Scarlett M.

The food is wonderful, but I find the portions a bit small for the price -- either lower the prices a little bit or include more food. My favorite dish is pad see ew, which is $10.95 for beef. That's a little steep for the amount they give you -- I think $7.95 or $8.95 would be a much better price. Some dishes aren't automatically spiced, so you have to ask - we ordered 3 different dishes and none of them were spicy. Future orders at the level "1" spicy (from 1-5) were quite different - the first "1" was quite enjoyable, the second "1" was almost inedible due to the intensity of spices.

    (4)
  • Jane M.

The tom yum soup was way too spicy. We cannot even take a 2nd sip. Orders take a while to arrive. They only have 1 cook so it took so long.

So good! I am a business traveller and find myself in strange places all the time. I generally seek out the places where the locals eat, like Chao Praya. I have enjoyed everything I have eaten here and they are happy to accommodate a special request. They are excellent for catering. I had to get lunch for 20, and they handled it with ease. I had to pick it up, but there are not a ton of options in Bullhead that can do lunch for that many people. Definite thumbs up. BTW, the potstickers are great even cold!

My husband and I went to Laughlin because... well I don't know why. A lapse of judgment maybe. Anyway, we decided to eat dinner in Bullhead City and went with Chao Prya. I ordered curry with tofu. It was yummy and spicy. The price was a little high but I'm assuming we were paying tourist prices given that it's so close to Laughlin. The service was OK - the owner was also there and he was very nice. I'll definitely be back... if I have a psychotic break and decide to go to Laughlin again.

In a city with two Panda Expresses (Expressi?) it is so nice to have an authentic thai place. I enjoyed a wonderful dish - and while I was there during slow hours (3PMish), I appreciated the quiet. Friendly staff, good food, affordable (my dish was $9 plus tip - and I didn't get one of the cheaper lunch specials). Was just passing through town and decided to stop, and I'm glad I did.

I would definitely come here again. The pineapple fried rice is huge and delicious. The DUI noodles with chicken were not too spicy and full of flavor. A family run place--Mamasan is in the back cooking and her daughter is taking the orders.

I would literally eat there everyday if I could, it's that good. It's vegan friendly and offers a wide variety of choices.

I love spicy and can handle some extremely spicy Indian and Thai food however 4 is too spicy even for me!

food-very good 4.5 (except for pad thai, a little bit on the sweet side). save some room for dessert, they are the bomb. portion - 3.5-4 price - 4 customer service - 5

Although the service could you a bit friendlier touch, the food was pretty good for what I was expecting in this town. The curry was great, some of the better I have had, although there was way too much green beans in the dish. Service wasn't horrible, but could be improved.

Awesome food! Rivals the best from San Diego (where I'm from). This is a TREAT in Bullhead City. I hope they stay open. Very authentic and tasty. We had the pumpkin curry, Phad Thai and Cashew Nut with brown rice and tofu. Thai iced tea was very good. Service was sincere and attentive. Clean breath of fresh air in BHC. Lovely! Makes visiting the mom out here in the desert a bit more pleasant with this oasis.

Really, this place was great. The server we had was funny, personable and very accommodating. I ordered veggies and tofu with no oil and what I got was probably one of the best dishes I've had considering it contained only whole food, plant based ingredients. The portions were perfect, the flavor profile was spot on and I felt like part of the family while eating. They were also able to amp up the spice for my husband who enjoys extremely hot food. He also mentioned that the Thai iced tea was yummy too. If you're a vegan, gluten-free or have any special dietary concerns, I have no doubt that you will have a delicious meal here.

So Patty who grew up here was quite surprised to see this restaurant which used to be Bangkok Thai and before that an Italian restaurant. It is located in a strip mall which houses a Starbucks and a Safeway among other stores. I noticed they did not have my favorite Tom Yum noodle soup, but they were quick to accommodate my request to marry the rice noodles and the Tom Yum soup together! Pretty tasty I must say. However, Thai Cafe is still my favorite. My friends had soup as well - with coconut and shrimp and chicken. Tasted their broth and it was pretty good! It is nicely decorated with different Thai wood figurines, wall hangings with elephants and travel posters. The daughter of the owner was so friendly and helpful! Service - 5 Stars Food - 4 Stars Ambience/decor - 2 Stars

We tried Chao Prya today and were BEYOND disappointed. After we seated ourselves because nobody was in the front of the house, the waitress finally meandered our way and took our orders. I got teriyaki chicken with jasmine rice and my partner got the pho soup. We both tried our food; mine was inedible. The chicken was dry and chewy, and the rice was ice cold. I couldn't eat it. He was not impressed in the least bit by his dish. He stated it was bland and not special. After sitting there for 15 minutes, the waitress (she didn't bother introducing herself) finally came back around, and I told her that my food was not good. She simply picked it up and walked away. After another 15 minutes, a man (the cook maybe?) asked if I wanted him to remake it. I declined, and he said, "Guess you're not hungry," and walked away. The waitress never returned to refill our empty cups or do anything else. I don't understand how this place is still open with it's lovely combination of mediocre food and horrid service.

Nice surprise to find in such a small city. I didnt really like how the tables etc were set up The food was great. I ordered the Curry with tofu and potatoes etc. Just the right about of spicy and a good taste. Ranks right up there with other thai dishes I have had. The owner was very nice. Overall its a gem in the rough literally if you are stuck out there for some reason (I hope you are not. Laughlin sucks.)

a true mom and pop restaurant in a strip mall (next to the safeway supermarket). good food. had a delightful conversation with the waitress (one of two daughters). she has recently quit her job as a playboy bunny in las vegas (no kidding) to come and help her parents with the restaurant. she says she's aware of the complaints about the funky decor and promises to make changes. good luck chao praya!

Amazing Thai food... the place doesn't look like much from outside but the food and service is amazing. during our last visit we ordered the DUI noodles, pineapple shrimp fried rice, Chicken satay (appetizer), and an additional beef/veggie plate. Everything was delicious. Top recommendations: DUI noodles & Pineapple shrimp fried rice. Overall one of the best Thai places I have been to.

a true mom and pop restaurant in a strip mall (next to the safeway supermarket). good food. had a delightful conversation with the waitress (one of two daughters). she has recently quit her job as a playboy bunny in las vegas (no kidding) to come and help her parents with the restaurant. she says she's aware of the complaints about the funky decor and promises to make changes. good luck chao praya!

Although the service could you a bit friendlier touch, the food was pretty good for what I was expecting in this town. The curry was great, some of the better I have had, although there was way too much green beans in the dish. Service wasn't horrible, but could be improved.

Glad to see a great Thai place in Bullhead. Definitely a great place for vegans/vegetarians--they use absolutely no fish sauce in any of their dishes. Most Thai places don't mention that they use it, even if you order a vegetarian dish. We will definitely return when we're in the area.

Lovely!

A pearl in dumpy town...I found this spot using google maps and although there was only 2 reviews they seemed sincere. we were apprehensiveness but completely fed up with the garbage at these laughlin buffets. Chao Praya would be substandard in any big city because the decor is laughable and service is mediocre but based simply on flavor and variety of thai dishes this place is hit. Prices were extremely fair and worth every penny, for four people we spent 55 and my favorite thai place with the same food in los angeles would be $100+. I hope they find someway to remodel and hook in some casino traffic because the local community doesn't look like they appreciate anything but drivethru..
